Court is Now In Session

Judge John C. McClintock, Jr., presided over four cases last week in Northeast District Court.

Brian Lee Azure, Jr., 23, Dunseith, pleaded guilty to violating a restricted license, a class B misdemeanor. He was ordered to pay $250 in fees; $125 for criminal administration, $100 for defense/facility administration and $25 in victim/witness fees.

Amber Lynn Azure, 20, and Nathan Steven Belgarde, 24, both of Belcourt, pleaded guilty to animal neglect, a class A misdemeanor. Both were sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, and bond monies posted were applied to fines and fees.

George Alan Coles, 47, Rugby, pleaded guilty to delivery of alcohol to prohibited persons, a class A misdemeanor. Coles was sentenced to 90 days confinement, with 90 days suspended, at the Heart of America Correctional & Treatment Center; one year of unsupervised probation and paid $325 in court fees and a $200 Community Service Program fee in lieu of community service.
