Tribune Wins NDNA Awards

The Pierce County Tribune won awards in the 2,000 or More subscriber division of the North Dakota Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Contest for work done in 2014.

Former Tribune editor Tim Chapman took second in Feature Series for a series (Hofferts); first in Sports Reporting (“62 title still fresh in their minds”); first in Sports Series for basketball coverage; honorable mention for Personal Column – Humorous (“Do they think we’re stupid?”)

The Tribune also took third for Editorial Page design; honorable mention for Section/Feature Front design; first in Informational Graphics; honorable mention for Sports Photo (“Screaming Coach” by Lori Gronvold); first place in Home/Garden Advertising (“Rugby Greenhouse”); third in Ad Series (Chalmers First Addition); honorable mention in Promotion of Newspaper – Readership (“Express Yourself”).

Awards were presented at the NDNA Convention last week in Bismarck.
