Congratulations to EMT Chase Wangler, who was awarded the ND EMS Association NW Region Rising Star Award.

The Rising Star was established to recognize an individual, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical

Technician (EMT), who is new to the field of pre-hospital care, shows rapid improvement, exemplary skills and takes on added responsibilities. The nominee must have less than three years of experience and be a current member of the North Dakota EMS Association. The regional awards were presented at the EMS Rendezvous Conference and Trade Show which was held on April 10th & 11th at the Bismarck Civic Center.

“I started working in the EMS Department part time in February of 2014 and I’ve worked as an EMT since June. I originally wanted to be an EMT so that I could move onto becoming a fireman, a lifelong dream of mine. Once I started working as an EMT though, I started to really enjoy it and haven’t look back since,” states Wangler.

“What I enjoy most is knowing that I’ve helped someone. It gives you a really good feeling. It’s also great to be appreciated in the job that I’m doing, I work for a great boss and with a great team,” adds Wangler.
