After Prom Party Creates a Fun, Safe Alternative

By Staff | May 1, 2015

RHS promgoers are ready to be hypnotized, and others are ready for the show.

Parents and businesses alike got together to provide a safe enjoyable atmosphere for prom revelers to conclude their night to remember for all the right reasons. This is no small undertaking. When asked why they do it as a group they said, ” we feel that it provides a safe alternative to other high risk behaviors with no peer pressure.” They continued, “The kids have fun and have a chance to win some really cool prizes!! We feel this promotes the businesses helping out in the community, especially with the kids. Without the support of the local businesses and businesses in the surrounding area, this would not be possible!”

The parents who volunteered this year for this special night were: Deanna Heidlebaugh, Keeya & Chad Hager, Candy & Troy Munyer, Becky Kraft, Sheila Braaten, Jana & Bill Michels, Teri Allickson, Kay Senger, Jacinta Schmaltz, Kelly Clements, Kris Wangler, Daunne Heilman, Liz Deckert, Andy Stahl and Melissa Ripplinger.

The highlight of the evening was the hypnotist, who had the kids literally mesmerized by his powers. There was also sumo wrestling, th provided a lot of laughs, and Kay Senger provided more fun games to keep the kids entertained.

Besides the entertainment and the great food there were also prizes to be had, all donated by caring local businesses and loving parents.
