Trained and Ready to Assist

Officer Scott Bommersbach and Deputy Taylor Schiller recently completed a responsible beverage server training course in Devils Lake.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Taylor Schiller and the Rugby Police Department Senior Officer Scott Bommersbach attended training to become instructors for Responsible Beverage Server Training in Devils Lake on March 18th, 2015.

The training was provided by the North Dakota Safety Council. The training consists of eight hours of instruction on how provide instruction to prevent over serving, detecting fake identification cards, and overall knowledge of state and local laws regarding operating a liquor establishment.

Deputy Schiller and Senior Officer Bommersbach will be available for any businesses that have beer or liquor licenses that would like to have staff trained. Businesses may be eligible for a reduced insurance premium for limiting their liability by having employees attend this training.
