Towner school to hold blood drive

The TGU Towner NHS is sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Towner School gymnasium. If you wish to donate, you may schedule an appointment online at unitedbloodservices.org or call Wayne Judkins at 537-5990 (school), 537-5414 (home) or 771-2078 (cell).

LFS to hold Kindergarten open house

Little Flower School will be hosting a “Kindergarten Open House” for any families interested in attending Kindergarten at Little Flower School. The open house will be held Thursday, March 26th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Kindergarten room. The Kindergarten teacher, PTO member, and administration will be available to give you and your children a tour of the school and answer any questions you may have.

Kindergarten registration for the 2015-16 school year is set for March 30th-April 2nd, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the school office. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must turn 5 years of age by midnight July 31st of 2015. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record.

Health & Safety Coalition to meet

The next meeting of the Pierce County Health and Safety Coalition will be Monday, March 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the back room of the Coffee Cottage in Rugby. At the meeting we will be discussing the implementation of the group’s chosen strategies in greater depth, especially in the area of server training, promoting Parents LEAD and other media campaign ideas. If time allows, we will have a short presentation on current alcohol poisoning statistics. This meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome!
