Turkey Trot raises money for Relay for Life

Twenty-eight braves souls battled sub-zero temperatures to run in the Pierce County Relay for Life Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk. In the spirit of raising money for cancer research, the chill paled in comparison to the difficulties faced by cancer patients and their families.
Thanksgiving Day morning met the runners with close to -10 degree conditions. Runners ranged in age from 7 years old to 68 years old with competitors from Rugby, Carrington, Fargo, Jamestown, Mandan and Towner.
In order, the top three individuals to finish to the 5K were Kyler Odden, of Rugby; Greg Endres, of Carrington; and Nicole Lemieux, of Jamestown. Odden finished in 20 minutes, 59 seconds. Endres ran 21:36 and Lemieux ran 24:37.
A total of 39 people registered for the 5K at $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
