Rugby man arrested following crash
A Rugby man was arrested in the early morning hours of Nov. 1, following a one-vehicle accident in the city, according to press release from Rugby Police.
Police responded to a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck on its passenger side in front of 502 3rd Street SE at about 3 a.m.
The vehicle, driven by Brady Tuchscherer, 21, of Rugby, was traveling west on 3rd Street. According to the release, “after striking the dip in the intersection of 6th Avenue, the vehicle began to lose control and drift towards parked vehicles. The driver overcorrected to the left and jumped the south curb. The vehicle struck the concrete steps at 502 3rd Street SE and was tipped onto the passenger side.”
Tuchscherer faces charges of DUI, reckless driving and driving with an open container. He was transported to Heart of America Medical Center for apparent minor injuries. A Pierce County Sheriff’s deputy assisted with the crash investigation.
