The Rugby Police Department arrested Justan P. Oppegaard, 23, of Ray, at the Cobblestone Inn on Sept. 30.

Oppegaard was wanted on a warrant for the offense of gross sexual imposition, a Class AA felony. The warrant stems from an incident that occurred in Williams County. Rugby police were given information that Oppegaard was working in the area and staying at the motel. This information was passed on by Williams County Sheriff’s Office.

Oppegaard was taken into custody without incident and brought to Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center, where he awaits transport to Williston.

A Pierce County deputy sheriff assisted with the arrest.
