Felony cases heard in recent weeks

Judge John C. McClintock Jr. heard felony cases in Northeast District Court on Sept. 9 and Sept. 16.

On Tuesday, Pamela C. Brewer, 38, of Selz made an initial appearance on a felony charge and three misdemeanor charges. Brewer requested a preliminary hearing, which is set for Oct. 21. She is charged with theft of property, a Class C felony; and hindering law enforcement, giving false reports and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Class A misdemeanors.

Brewer was arrested following the arrests of her son and another man charged with burglary at Larry’s Bar in Selz.

On Sept. 9, James Lee Counts, 38, of Dunseith, made an initial appearance on a Class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Counts also is charged with giving false reports to law enforcement. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 29.

Alalie Carley Davis, 18, of Belcourt, made an initial appearance on a Class A felony charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and a Class C felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 28.

Richard Lee Gourneau Jr., 33, of Bismarck, made an initial appearance on the same charges as Davis. A criminal hearing is set for Oct. 7.

Ayesha Lynn Eagleman, 26, of Dunseith, made an initial appearance on a Class C felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; and Class A misdemeanor charges of giving false reports and ingesting a controlled substance.
