SELZ – This sleepy town in the southeast corner of Pierce County received disturbing news after Larry’s Bar employees found the place ransacked Aug. 21.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people in connection with the burglary, including Lane Maupin, 18, of Selz; Brian Koons Jr., 19, of Harvey; and Pamela Brewer, 38, of Selz.
The men are charged with theft of property and burglary, both felony charges. The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible, according to a press release from Sheriff Matt Lunde.
A search warrant was issued for Maupin’s residence and Brewer, Maupin’s mother, was arrested and charged with providing false information to law enforcement, hindering law enforcement, accomplice to burglary and other pending charges.
Alcohol, money, cigarettes and other items were reported stolen. Pull-tab machines were also damaged. Arrests were made following collaboration of the sheriff’s department, Rugby Police, Harvey Police and U.S. Border Patrol.
