The following felony cases were heard in Northeast District Court in Rugby on June 3.

Arlyss Diane Rude, no age provided, of Rugby, made a second appearance for revocation of probation from a guilty plea to theft of property in 2009. Rude owed $7,440 in monetary sanctions (restitution) by June 9. Probation was reinstated for three additional years.

Andrew D. Johnson, 22, of Fargo, failed to appear on an order to show cause stemming from a guilty plea to theft in 2012. A bench warrant was issued for Johnson on June 6.

Jason Edward Vetsch, 31, of Minot, appeared on an order to show cause stemming from a guilty plea to possession of a schedule II controlled substance in 2013. Vetsch was held in contempt of court and was given until August 5 to pay fines and fees and complete his treatment.

Raymond Edward Bessette, 57, of Rugby, made an initial appearance facing a charge of obtaining controlled substances under false pretenses. It was dismissed without prejudice, which means the charge can be brought again by the state’s attorney.

Edward John Ebach, 62, of Rugby, had a second criminal appearance set for June 17. Ebach faces a Class C felony charge of driving or being in actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence. The charge is a felony because of a fourth or subsequent DUI.
