Three of the five members of the Pierce County Board of Commissioners are up for re-election this year. Joe Bohl (District 1), Rick Larson (District 3) and David Migler (District 5) are in the final year of four-year terms.

Terms are staggered. Mike Christenson (District 2) and Duane Johnston (District 4) were elected in 2012.

The three commissioner positions will be voted on with other county and city elections June 10 at the Armory. Candidates for sheriff include incumbent Matt Lunde, Luis Coca and Josh Siegler.

In the City of Rugby, the mayor and four council positions will be voted on. Terms are staggered with one of the two members from each ward having his term end this year. Neil Lotvedt (Ward 1), David Bednarz (Ward 2), Arden Warner (Ward 3), Arland Geiszler (Ward 4) and Mayor David Cichos are in the final year of their terms. Also up for election are the offices of municipal judge, held by incumbent Sharon Harmel; and three park board members – Phyllis Johnson, Rick Srur and Rick Larson.

The deadline to file a petition with the city auditor is April 7 at 4 p.m.
