Chapman hired as new Tribune editor, GM
Former Minot Daily News sports editor Tim Chapman has been appointed general manager and editor of the Pierce County Tribune. Chapman, a native of Centreville, Va., will replace Chris Bieri, who accepted a job as an editor at the Anchorage Daily News in Alaska.
Chapman is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and gained experience working for newspapers in Virginia, North Dakota and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
“I’m excited for this new opportunity and eager to meet the citizens of Pierce County,” Chapman said. “I’ve been in North Dakota for about two years and really enjoy interacting with the schools, businesses and the general public.”
Chapman invites readers to visit, call or e-mail the Tribune to share ideas and history of Pierce County, Rugby and other area cities and towns.
