HAMC Long Term Care facility changes name
Heart of America Medical Centers’ Long Term Care facility will now do business as Heart of America Care Center. The thought behind changing Long Term Care’s name stemmed from the fact that there were patients who required the services but weren’t admitted as a long term resident/patient. The goal of HAMC’s Care Center is to rehabilitate patients so they can return home and resume their daily lives. Some of the services provided are physical therapy, occupational therapy, and skilled nursing core.
Linda Kay Duchscher, Director of Volunteer Services comments, “I am so excited about the name change The title Care Center exemplifies what actually happens on second and third floors. HAMC provides different types of therapy that helps rehabilitate the residents and many are able to return home.”
There are currently openings in the Care Center; you can call Kristen Tryba at 776.5261 extension 2146 with any questions.
Phone scam affects Rugby residents
Merchants Bank has been alerted about a phone scam that is currently affecting consumers in Rugby and the surrounding community. The scammers are trying to fraudulently obtain private information by impersonating a legitimate business. Consumers receive automated phone calls that their debit card has been frozen due to fraudulent activity. They are then asked to verify their debit card number by punching in their card number over the phone to activate or unlock their card. If you receive phone call like this, do not punch in your debit card number or give out any personal information.
If you feel your debit card has been compromised in any way, please contact your local financial institution immediately.
