Museum’s Holiday Dinner focuses on family fun

By Staff | Nov 23, 2012

Prairie Village Museum’s 2nd annual Old-Fashioned Holiday Dinner, Bake Sale, and Gift Basket Bidding will be held 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at the Rugby Eagles Club.

Linda Lynse is preparing roast beef and all the trimmings. Santa Claus will be there to meet and greet kids from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Attendees may purchase homemade holiday baking and chances on an array of gift baskets ready for Christmas giving (need not be present to win).

Holiday music will be provided by bluegrass band The Roughriders, which includes Pierce County Tribune editor Chris Bieri, and other local musicians.

Dinner tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids (6 to 12); no charge for preschoolers. Tickets may be purchased from Geographical Center Historical Society board members and at the door.

Farmers Union Oil Co. of Rugby, Towner, Wolford & Leeds; Merchants Bank of Rugby; and TBEI Rugby Manufacturing are sponsoring the dinner. All proceeds support the Geographical Center Historical Society and Prairie Village Museum.
