Lions Club picnic featuring Liquid Blue was huge success
The Lions Club Music in the Park picnic, arts show, classic car show, and concert featuring “Liquid Blue”- all the way from California–on July 25 was a huge success.
The Rugby Lions Club served approximately 600 people for the grilled hamburger and salad supper in the park. Several booths displaying local artists were set up near the gazebo.
The California band did an outstanding job of playing to the crowd who stayed for the concert. Members of the band spent time checking out all that Rugby has to offer visitors.
One of the band members asked for a pin to take home as a souvenir. He was quickly supplied with a Rugby pin complete with the monument on it by a Lions Club member.
The band, who dressed in costumes, played music from just about every era. Young children danced in front of the gazebo. The audience clapped along with their favorites.
The playground was filled with children and the lemonade and water flowed in abundance for anyone who wanted a cool drink.
The weather was in the upper 70s in temperature with a cool breeze and the sun was shining.
The Rugby Lions served free ice cream to the masses.
Proceeds from the concert and picnic will be used for Lions charitable projects.
