Tables Envisioned set for Feb. 18 and 19

By Staff | Jan 6, 2012

The Lions Club “Tables Envisioned” event is being planned for Saturday, Feb. 18 and Sunday, Feb. 19 at Dakota Farms.

Everyone is encouraged to sort through their dishes to see what could be used to set a tabletop display. Anyone who would like to participate is invited to display a collection of dinnerware, china, pottery, silverware, crystal or even paper. Think outside the box for this event. Try something new and unusual. Standard table settings are also fine. Some things are just a classic no matter what.

Everything from depression era glassware to special china to Melmac to pottery to paper plates is acceptable. If someone has an idea, it is worth looking at.

Tables Envisioned has been a popular event and the club hopes to get many entries to make it a lovely show. As in the past, a booklet will be made containing stories on each collection. Refreshments will be served.

Displayers can write their own stories or have a committee member help them.

If interested in displaying a tabletop or for further information please contact Rugby Lions members Terri Kelly Barta at 776-5252, Betty Triplett at 776-5766 or Chuck Repnow at 776-2831.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Ellery Park fountain project.
