Educators launch online curriculum program

By Staff | Sep 17, 2010

Rugby special education teachers, counselors and administrators completed a training last week for a new Odyssey ware online curriculum program.

“It is a very diversified program,” David Zwingel, Jr.-Sr. High principal told school board members at their Sept. 14 meeting.

“Take a non-English speaking student, for instance, a Spanish-speaking student could take the class in Spanish with the Odyssey program.”

The program will be very useful for the credit recovery program, summer school students, and special education students to name a few uses. The whole state was able to purchase the online curriculum for the same price, according to Zwingel. He and others began teaching the program last week.

“We are hoping it will make a difference,” said Zwingel.
