By Staff | Sep 2, 2010

A 26-year-old Rugby man was sentenced last week to three years at the N.D. Department of Corrections on a charge of failing to register as a registered sex offender.

Joseph Lee Charboneau pled guilty to the felony on Aug. 31 in Northeast District Court, according to Galen Mack, states attorney.

Charboneau was earlier charged with ingestion of a controlled substance and providing false information to law enforcement, both A misdemeanors. He has served 118 days on those charges.

Charboneau reportedly changed addresses without notifying law enforcement and was arrested this spring.
