One vehicle rollover west of Barton
A juvenile girl avoided serious injury when the car she was driving rolled in a ditch about two miles west of Barton on July 8.
The name of the girl was not released by the Pierce County Sheriff’s office. She was taken to the Heart of America Medical Center to be checked out.
Matt Lunde, sheriff, said the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. and the driver was fortunate to be wearing her seatbelt. “That saved her from serious injury,’ he said.
The car, a 1998 Chevy Lumina, however, was totaled.
The drive was heading east toward Barton at the time of the accident.
In addition to the sheriff’s department, three units from the fire department and Rugby Ambulance responded.
