Accident results in one taken to HAMC
Two cars collided along N.D. Highway 3 in Rugby, resulting in a passenger in one of the vehicles taken to Rugby’s Heart of America Medical Center for observations, according to a report from the Rugby Police Department.
The accident happened about 9:50 a.m. on June 10. A 2002 Pontiac driven by Barb Larson, Rugby, was attempting to cross N.D. 3 from the Cenex C-store parking lot when she struck a 2004 Lincoln driven by Delos Haggerty of Selz. Haggerty just turned off U.S. Highway 2 and was heading north on N.D. 3. A passenger in Haggerty’s vehicle complained of chest pains and was taken to the HAMC to be checked ut. The force of the collision caused the vehicles to then hit a 2002 Ford pickup, driven by Jeff Solem of Rugby, who was waiting at an approach on the east side of the highway near The Hub.
The Lincoln sustained about $5,000 in damage to its left front and let side. The Pontiac sustained about $4,000 damage to its right front and right side. The pickup sustained about a $1,000 in damage.
The Rugby Police and Pierce County sheriff’s department responded to the accident as did the Rugby Fire Department and Golden Heart Paramedics and Rugby Ambulance service.
