Rugby council to meet about natural gas proposal

By Staff | May 13, 2010

The Rugby City Council along with representatives of Michigan-based Major Pipeline Inc., and the Bismarck engineering firm Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson, will discuss a proposal to deliver natural gas service to residential and commercial consumers.

The meeting is set for this Wednesday, May 19, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Earlier this spring, several city officials received a presentation from the two firms about the benefits to bring this resource to the city and potentially to other communities in the region.

Part of the proposal was for the city to create a municipal utility to sell the gas.
