At is April 6 meeting, the Pierce County Commission accepted a bid from Walker Enterprises of Anamoose to construct a 54 by 60-foot pole barn structure in Balta.

The bid was $56,490, lower than two other bids received from Swanson Construction and Marv’s Construction, both of Rugby.

The new structure will replace the old county shop in Balta which was in poor condition. It will house county vehicles and equipment. The new building is scheduled to be completed by August 1.
