Michael Baron, author of “Keeping the Family Farm in the Family” will be hosting a farm estate planning seminar this Thursday, March 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Otter Tail Power meeting room in Rugby.
Baron, who is the owner and manager of Great Plains Diversified Services in Bismarck, will focus his seminar on planning. Many people have worked hard all their life on their family farm. Baron will provide information to help people ensure that the farm goes to who they want it to. For over 30 years, he has helped thousands of farm families design plans for retirement, for transition and to avoid unnecessary taxes.
Baron writes a regular column in the “Farm &?Ranch Guide” answering questions from readers and giving advice about securing the future of their family farms.
The event is sponsored by the local Adult Farm Management program. There is no charge to attend.
Baron will also be a featured speaker at the Maddock Ag Day at the Benson County Events Center on Tuesday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m.
