‘Steam’ing through

By Staff | Jul 10, 2009

A rather unique train passed through Rugby on Wednesday morning, July 8. The Southern Pacific 4449 “Daylight” steam engine and several restored passenger cars from the golden era of train travel were en route to Owosso, Michigan, to take part in a train festival. The train is housed in Oregon and was one of just a few restored steam engines still running.
