Brian Engstrom received 29 votes to 26 for challenger Kay Nelsen in the Leeds School District election held June 16.

The three-year seat is designated as an “at-large” position on the five-member board. Voters also approved by a 44-11 margin publishing the school board proceedings in the official county newspaper – the Benson County Farmers Press.
