Two board seats filled at T-G-U election
Incubment Todd Thompson was the top vote-getter among two candidates for an at-large board seat, and Gary Erickson was elected by write-in to represent the former Upham School District area during Towner-Granville-Upham’s annual school election on May 12. Both terms are for three years.
Thompson received 72 votes to 13 for challenger Jeff Bierman.
Erickson received 65 write-in votes. There were five votes for other district residents in the Upham area. No one filed. A total of 86 votes were cast in the election.
Carryover members on the board include Nancy Smette, Mike Seright and Jim Eidmann.
