Amtrak service to Rugby resumes

By Staff | May 5, 2009

Amtrak is back to making two daily stops in Rugby. Service was suspended for a second time this spring when flood waters damaged a section of Burlington Northern-Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad’s main line near Granville. As a result, train service was stopped, and Amtrak was re-routed along the KO Subdivision, more commonly known as the Surrey Cutoff.

In March, Amtrak service was rerouted due to flooding in the Red River Valley.
