County enters into engineering agreements for future road repairs
Pierce County Commissioners have approved the preliminary and construction engineering agreements for the planned chip seal coat along a segment of First St. North in the city of Rugby as well as along Golf Course Road just east of the city.
The action was taken at the commission’s Dec. 16 meeting. Wold Engineering, Bottineau, is overseeing the seal coat, which will be completed next year. A large majority of the costs are being paid through the county’s state highway distribution aid.
The commission also approved entering into a preliminary engineering agreement with Wold for possibly widening and grading a nine-mile gravel stretch of N.D. Highway 30 east and south of Wolford. That project, however, is contingent on getting state funding.
