Seal coat planned for First St.N.E.
At its Dec. 2 meeting, the Pierce County Commission met with Junior Holen, Wold Engineering, Bottineau, and city council representatives, Dave Bednarz; and Dale Niewoehner and Jerome Voeller, city street superintendent, regarding seal coating the First St. N.E. truck route next year.
The estimated cost of the seal coat is $136,000. The city’s share of the costs would be $44,000, while the county would pay the remaining $92,000. The city has budgeted its share.
The two entities split the costs to reconstruct and pave a large segment of the street in 2006. It is also a designated truck route. Work was completed from the intersection of N.D. Highway 3 east to Golf Course Road.
