Project Joy wrapping up — Annual Lions Club project provides gifts for those in need in the community
Project Joy, the local Lions Club’s annual holiday service project, will soon wrap up.
The last day a person can take a gift request tag off off the Project Joy Tree at Pamida or Borth’s Department Store and purchase the gift is this Thursday, Dec. 11.
Gifts can be left at either of those locations, or at any of the lending institutions in Rugby. Monetary donations are also accepted and can be dropped off at the Pierce County Tribune. They will go toward purchasing gifts as well.
Gifts will be sorted, and project participants will be notified by letter that they can pick them up on Dec. 16 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Bob’s Pizza Inn/Econo Lodge. For more information, contact Matt Mullally, project coordinator, at 776-5252.
