– Brooks Jones, Langdon, pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of driving under suspension and a B misdemeanor charge of driving while license privilege is suspended or revoked before Judge Michael Hurly in Northeast District Court at the Pierce County Courthouse Monday, Jan. 3. Hurly ordered Jones to complete 30 hours of community service by Feb. 28 and pay a $50 community service fee. Hurly also sentenced Jones to 15 days at Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center, with 15 days suspended and 360 days probation. Hurly also ordered Jones to pay a total of $300 in other fees.

– Kayla Marie Wember, New Leipzig, pleaded guilty to a C felony charge of endangerment of a child. Hurly sentenced Wember to a three-year sentence with the North Dakota Department of Corrections at Tompkins Rehabilitation and Correction Center, Jamestown. Wember received credit for 46 days served. Her sentence included the requirement she first serves 18 months, then two years of probation. Hurly also ordered Wember to pay $1,135 in total fees, complete a chemical dependency evaluation and any recommended treatment and file proof of completion to the court. Wember also pleaded guilty to a C Felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and an A misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance. Hurly sentenced Wember to three years for the felony and 90 days for the misdemeanor, to be served concurrently with her sentence for child endangerment.
