– Rick Thomas Bentley, Rugby, pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of reckless driving from an incident May 9. Judge Michael Hurly ordered Bentley to complete a chemical dependency evaluation between June 30 and Aug. 29, complete any recommended treatment, submit to regular testing for alcohol for two years and complete two years of unsupervised probation. Hurly also ordered Bentley to complete 30 hours of community service, pay $500 in fees for the charge and serve 30 days at Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center with 30 days suspended.
Bentley also pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of driving or actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and refusal to submit to testing for the same incident. Hurly ordered Bentley to complete a chemical dependency evaluation and any recommended treatment. Bentley was also ordered to submit to regular testing for alcohol and complete two years of unsupervised probation. Hurly also ordered Bentley to serve 30 days at HACTC, with 30 days suspended and pay $725 in total fees.
