— Christopher Eric Brossart, Wolford, pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of violation of a burn ban. Northeast Judicial District Court Judge Anthony Benson issued an order deferring a sentence on Brossart with six months of unsupervised probation and the condition that he violates no criminal laws during that period. Benson also ordered Brossart to pay $250 in fees.
— Lawrence John Heilman, Rugby, also pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of violation of a burn ban. Judge Michael Hurly issued an order deferring a sentence on Heilman with six months of unsupervised probation on the condition that he violates no criminal laws during the period. Hurly also ordered Heilman to pay $250 in fees.
— Thomas Richard Oppen, Rugby, pleaded guilty to a C felony charge of failure to comply with registration requirements. Hurly ordered Oppen to a two year sentence at Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center, first serving 90 days and two years of probation. Hurly gave Oppen three days’ credit for time served and ordered Oppen to report to jail by July 5 at 5 p.m. Oppen was also ordered to pay $875 in fees.
— Dakotah Rae Trottier, Rugby, pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Hurly ordered Trottier to serve 30 days at HACTC and pay $25 in fees.
