District Court
– Clarence Sylvan Beston, Dunseith, pleaded guilty to an A misdemeanor charge of failure to appear as a witness or to produce information in a Feb. 1 session of Northeast Judicial District Court at the Pierce County Courthouse. Judge Michael Hurly ordered Beston to a 90-day term of confinement at the Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center with 90 days suspended and 360 days of probation. Hurly also ordered Beston to pay $325 in total court fees.
– Jerry Roy Stewart, Fargo, pleaded guilty to a C felony charge of failure to comply with child offender registration. Hurly ordered Stewart to serve a one year, one day term at HACTC, first serving 90 days and one year of probation, with credit for 70 days served.
– Gary Wayne Schumacker, Rugby, pleaded guilty to a C felony charge of theft of property. Hurly ordered Schumacker to an 18-month term of supervised probation. Hurly ordered Schumacker to have no contact in any form with the victim during the probationary term. Fee totals for Schumacker amounted to $2,125. Schumacker was also ordered to pay $35 for an indigent defense application fee.
-Kolby Daniel Zamora, Rugby, pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of driving or in actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Hurly ordered Zamora to pay $1,025 in total fees and serve a 10-day term at HACTC, with 10 days suspended.
