– Jason Tyler Houle, Belcourt, pleaded guilty to an A misdemeanor charge of failure to appear as a witness or produce information. Judge Michael Hurly ordered Houle to pay $150 in fees.
– Taylor James Poitra, Belcourt, pleaded guilty to a B misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. Poitra was ordered to pay $250 in fees and serve 30 days at the Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center, with 30 days suspended and credit for five days served. Poitra also received a sentence of 360 days’ probation. Hurly deemed a C felony charge against Poitra for deceptive writings – $1,000 to $10,000 a misdemeanor. Poitra pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge, receiving a sentence of $3,825 in fees and restitution and 360 days’ confinement at Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center, with 360 days suspended and credit for 5 days served.
– Crystal Velvet Grove, Rugby, pleaded guilty to a C felony charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Grove was ordered to enroll in a 24/7-sobriety program and comply with its terms, pay $2,525 in fees and serve a term of one year and one day with the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Grove also received two years of probation and credit for 40 days served. Grove also pleaded guilty to an A misdemeanor charge of disobedience of a judicial order. She received a 40-day sentence at the Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center, with credit for 40 days served.
