Rugby students Jackson Brossart and Taylor Pritschet were among students awarded the Boyd and Joan Wallbrown Agricultural Innovation Endowed Scholarship through the Portage Foundation. The students were awarded with a total of $2,400.

Boyd and Joan Wallbrown purchased their Ohio farm in 1959 and embraced progressive farming techniques such as no-till planting, liquid fertilizers and steel bins for grain storage. The scholarship was established by their children and is awarded to students in Ohio and North Dakota who choose to pursue their education leading to a career in agricultural production, crop production or livestock.
