Crash Course held in Rugby

Submitted Rugby High School and area students and parents sit in on a Crash Course session held Nov. 4 at RHS.
Sixty Rugby High School students, parents and educators received a “crash course” in getting ready for post-secondary education on Nov. 4.
A Crash Course is where parents and students in grades 7-12 learn about various topics for life after high school, including financial aid and scholarships, entrepreneurship, job opportunities and getting ready for college. The host community and other towns within a 60-mile radius are included in each session, and each session includes drawings for a laptop and a digital camera.
RHS senior Jessica Blessum won the drawing for the laptop, and Becky Hershey, of Rugby, won the digital camera at the Rugby session, and a meal was also had by all.
Opportunities for Rugby to host a Crash Course come around every three years.
