Beyond the classroom: ‘A great time to be a Titan’

By Staff | Nov 7, 2014

It has been an exciting month at TGU Towner. Titan football is having a great run in the playoffs and have the semifinal game today. Volleyball ended its season this Monday. They had a good season and thank everyone who came out to support them this year. The Towner FFA chapter spent a week in Louisville, Ky., for the National FFA Convention. TGU Drama is off to regionals on Nov. 12 for the One Act Play competition. They will be preforming Little Women 2: Wrath of the Undead, and are excited for everyone to see all the hard work they put into this production. Math Month was a blast with all the great math-based baseball activities. From making equations with baseball jerseys to making our team pennants everyone had tons of fun. Speaking of math, the eighth game is starting Math Madness. Each student chose a college basketball team and will be following them through out the season, keeping track of team and player statistics. Throughout the season they will be doing different activities with their teams, from transforming logos to writing letters to the different universities. We are also excited to have Kat Perkins present to the students and community on Nov. 6. With everything that has happened this last month and everything else we have a lot to look forward to. It’s a great time to be a Titan.
