FBLA attends leadership conference
Officers of the Rugby High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and their advisors attended the North Dakota FBLA Fall Leadership Conference in Bismarck on Sunday and Monday. Approximately 475 FBLA members from across the state participated in this conference, where the emphasis was on developing the leadership skills of local chapter members.
2014-2015 officers are: President Brady Fossum, Vice-President Hannah Voeller, Secretary/Treasurer Bailey Nelson, Reporter/Media Noah Kraft, Student Council Representative Jessica Blessum, Concession Stand Manager Daniel Kearns, Middle Level Assistant Sara Bourne, High School Adviser Paola Trottier and Middle Level Advisor Christine Schmaltz.
Members attending the conference had the opportunity to participate in sessions that focused on leadership development, professionalism and communication. In addition, chapters had an opportunity to work together in developing a program of activities for the year that focused on state and national FBLA programs.
FBLA is a professional organization for students interested in pursuing business careers. This year’s theme of “Step Up to the Challenge” reflects the goals that FBLA members strive to achieve. North Dakota FBLA members are some of the best and brightest of today’s young people.
