Art show set
for Cando
Art Center
The area student art show is on exhibit at the Cando Art Center/Gallery, 4th and Main in Cando. Art work by the students from Rolette, Towner, and Cavalier Counties are on exhibit. Participating schools are Rolette, Munich, and North Star. The gallery is open on Tuesdays, 1 6:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 1 4 p.m. or call 701-968-3655, Shelley Lord, as we are happy to open the gallery at other hours.

Little Flower to host kindergarten open house
Little Flower School will be hosting a kindergarten open house for any families interested in attending kindergarten at Little Flower School. The open house will be held Thursday, March 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the kindergarten room. The kindergarten teacher, a PTO member and administration will be available to give you and your children a tour of the school and answer any questions you may have.
Kindergarten registration for the 2014-15 school year is set for March 31 through April 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the school office. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must turn five years of age by midnight July 31, 2014. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record.

Students invited to literary conference
BISMARCK – Area students are invited to a conference they won’t want to miss. The ND Jump$tart Coalition is excited for you to attend the Financial Literacy Conference “Recipe for Financial Success” on March 27 at the Ramada Bismarck Hotel.
There is also a pre-conference social at the Ramada Bismarck Hotel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on March 26.

Skipper makes Dean’s List
DigiPen Institute of Technology, based out of Redmond, Wash., announces that Jonathan Skipper, son of Dr. Ron & Jackie Skipper of Knox, was added to the Fall 2013 Dean’s Honor List.
DigiPen has campuses in Singapore, Bilbao and Spain in addition to the U.S., and has a total of 1,029 students.
