On October 12, six Ely Elementary students along with their music teacher, Mrs. Andee Mattson, spent the day in Minot preparing for their first honor choir concert. “Surround the State in Song” is a children’s choral festival held annually for 5th and 6th grade students from around the state. The exact same concert was also performed in Grand Forks, Jamestown, Dickinson, and Bismarck at the same time. The children literally surrounded the state in song!

Congratulations to Tyra Lysne, Tesha Sobolik, Ryann Schock, Riley Grove, Beth Boucher, and Alexandra Morrow on a job well done!
