Rugby Students attend Scrubs Camp

By Staff | Apr 22, 2013

Two groups of Rugby eighth-graders had a chance to take an inside look at healthcare careers on April 5.

The Rural Collaborative Opportunities for Occupational Learning in Health (R-COOL-Health) Scrubs Camp allowed the students to observe everything from emergency room procedures to EMT services.

According to the Center for Rural Health, there is a current and projected shortage of health care professionals in the state which could reach 124,000 doctors and 500,000 nurses nationally by 2025.
