By Staff | Apr 15, 2013

Congratulations to Emily Pfeifer (daughter of Edwin Pfeifer and Carissa Allen) and Tashal Trottier (daughter of Helen Ferguson and David Trottier), two members of the Rugby High School Future Business Leaders of America chapter, who placed first and second respectively in their events at the State Leadership Conference in Minot, March 24-26, 2013.

The FBLA State Leadership Conference brings almost 1200 students from around the state to participate in more than 52 different events as well as leadership awareness, opportunities and training. The three-day event is very intense and all FBLA members strive to qualify, by placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their event(s), to attend the National Leadership Conference and Competition in Anaheim, California, June 27-30, 2013.

Emily Pfeifer will be competing in the Personal Finance event as the #1 student from North Dakota and Tashal Trottier will be competing in the Cyber Security event as the #2 student from North Dakota.

Students who place at the NLC are eligible for cash awards, scholarships and prizes.
