By Staff | Nov 27, 2012

Six students from the Leeds School were recently chosen to participate in Minot State University’s annual Northwest Festival of Music held November 2nd and 3rd. These students were chosen through a recorded audition process and were required to study a number of musical selections. Rehearsals were held at MSU Friday and Saturday, and a Saturday afternoon performance was open to the public at the Ann Nicole Nelson Auditorium.

Danielle Redetzke, daughter of Donna Redetzke; Meghan Jorgenson, daughter of Steve and Geri Jorgenson; Alyssa Anderson, daughter of Greg Anderson; Julissa McGarvey, daughter of Jody and Janel McGarvey, were selected to the vocal choirs. Bo Lauckner, son of Lisa Lauckner; and Nikara Nelsen, daughter of Rob and Jody Nelsen and Tony and Tami Kitzman, were selected to instrumental study.

Dr. Kenneth Bowles of Minot State University honored Redetzke with a 4-year award for being selected to participate in the festival for 4 years.
