Local students win at Art Show
The Taube Museum of Art, in Minot, is hosting the Annual North Dakota Juried Art Show. The show opened April 10 and runs through April 28. There are 589 pieces of student art from kindergarten through 12th grade from across the state of North Dakota on display.
Students from Leeds and Rolette were winners in the following categories: Northern Visions Award, sponsored by Senator John Hoeven: Blayne Anderson, Leeds Elementary, to be displayed in the Senator’s offices for the upcoming year. Artistic Discovery Award, sponsored by Representative Rick Berg: McKenzie Schottenbauer, Rolette Public School, to be displayed in the Representative’s offices for the upcoming year.
Jurors also selected an additional eighty-one pieces from all categories to be part of a traveling exhibition for the upcoming year. Additionally, Caitlyn Blazer, Leeds Elementary, and Elizabeth Smith, Rolette Public School, each received an Artistic Excellence Award from the Taube Museum. The Taube Museum of Art will present the top fifteen award winners a set of ten full-color note cards featuring their artwork.
