Little Flower students participated in contest
Several Little Flower Parish and area students participated in the local Catholic Daughters of America education contest. Students were awarded for their winning entries in the education contest for art, essay, photography, and poetry. The themes this year were “Planting Seeds of Faith” and “Inspiring Others To Grow”. First place winners in their respective age divisions were: Emily Salwey and Alex Hoffert for computer art, Kelly Swanson and Jace Odden for poetry, Maria Blessum and Kyler Odden for essay, Kelly Swanson and Nathanial Haman for art, Bobby Hartl for photography, and Charolette Blessum (not pictured) for Adult CDA division poetry. Other winners were Rachel Hartl, Jerry Blessum, Maria Mack, Mariah Pfeifer, Gabe Clements, Lilli French, Halie Schmaltz, and Jacquelyn Blessum. The contest is open to youth in grades four through 12, as well as adult Catholic Daughters members. Many creative entries were received. The first place winning entries will advance to the state level competition which will be judged in the spring.
