Rugby FFA chapter attend contests
Numerous members of the Rugby FFA chapter attended the Little “I” contest in Fargo Friday, Feb. 11. The contest involved livestock, crops, ag sales, and small animal care.
The livestock team, which consists of Devin Volk, Jesse Mitzel, Courtney Steil, Nathan Bohl, Kurt Pfau, and Sierra Jundt, participated in the livestock contest.
In the crops contest, Team 1 received a gold award and placed second. As individuals, Josh Stutrud, Kayla Koehmstedt, and Taylor DeMers received gold awards. Team 2 received a silver team award. As individuals, Josie Klein and Preston Vetsch earned gold awards and Brian Jordan received silver. Clay Vannett received second place in the 4-H division.
In the ag sales category, Matthew Mattern received a gold award and Tyler Mongeon received a bronze award.
In the small animal care contest, Rugby was awarded high team. As individuals, Kristen Mundahl was high individual and Cole Genetzky and Michelle Black received gold awards.
Rugby FFA members also attended the Kindred contest on Saturday, Feb. 12. The members participated in small animal care, livestock, crops, and ag sales.

Crops Team 1 placed 3rd and received a gold award. As individuals, Josh Stutrud, Kayla Koehmstedt, and Taylor DeMers received gold awards. Brian Jordan and Preston Vetsch were awarded silver awards. Clay Vannett received 6th place in the 4-H division.
