Rugby FFA chapter attends national convention
The Rugby FFA chapter recently attended the 83rd National FFA convention in Indianapolis. Fifteen members and two adults attended the convention held October 20-23.
At the convention, FFA’s highest degree, the American Degree, was presented to Monica Pritchett, Brandon Oksendahl, Steven Mattern, Steven Voeller, and Justin Fjellanjer.
Josh Stutrud and Mike Ostrem represented Rugby in the National Chapter Program. Rugby received a three star which is the highest ranking. Josh and Mike had the opportunity to walk across stage and accept the award. Rugby was the only North Dakota three star chapter.
While at the convention, members attended leadership seminars, observed National FFA competitions, and a large career fair.
On the way to the convention, members toured Case IH in Racine, Wis. and Fair Oaks Dairy in Indiana. Fair Oaks Dairy owns 30,000 milk cows.
